Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Gbanwe platform (the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Gbanwe is operated by Noble (trading as Gbanwe), a registered business in Nigeria.

2. Description of Service

Gbanwe is a skill exchange platform that allows users to trade services using Gbanwe Credits (GBC) — a closed-loop platform currency. Gbanwe Credits are not legal tender, are not guaranteed to have any cash value, and are usable only within the Gbanwe platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Gbanwe. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Users under 18 are not permitted to create accounts.

4. Gbanwe Credits

Gbanwe Credits (GBC) are a closed-loop platform currency. They have no guaranteed cash value. Credits may be purchased with Naira via Paystack, earned by completing swaps, or received as promotional bonuses. Credits may be converted to Naira (cash-out) subject to identity verification (BVN/NIN) and a 15% commission. Gbanwe reserves the right to adjust credit values, conversion rates, and commission rates at any time with reasonable notice.

5. Escrow System

When a swap is initiated, the agreed credits are held in escrow by the platform. Credits are released to the service provider only when the recipient confirms satisfactory completion. In cases of dispute, Gbanwe's decision following review is final.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to: post false, misleading, or fraudulent skill listings; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; attempt to circumvent the escrow system or manipulate credit balances; create multiple accounts to exploit promotional credits; use the platform for any illegal activity. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban.

7. Dispute Resolution

If a swap dispute arises, both parties must first attempt to resolve it directly via in-app chat. If unresolved within 48 hours, either party may escalate to Gbanwe support at hello@gbanwe.app. Gbanwe will review evidence from both parties and make a final binding decision within 5 business days.

8. Limitation of Liability

Gbanwe is a platform connecting users — we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services listed. Gbanwe is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or any transactions conducted through it.

9. Termination

Gbanwe reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, any remaining credits in your account are forfeited unless a cash-out request was already in progress.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
